How to tell the real from the fake in veterinary drugs?
The most reliable way to distinguish between genuine and counterfeit veterinary drugs is to scan the QR code on the packaging and use the “National Veterinary Drug Comprehensive Query” app to verify their authenticity. At the same time, check the integrity of the packaging label, the validity of the approval number, and the appearance and physical characteristics of the drug.

All legitimate veterinary drug packages are printed with a unique QR code. To verify it, follow these steps:
Download the official app: Install the “National Veterinary Drug Comprehensive Query” app (compatible with both Android and iOS), then scan the QR code on the packaging.
Verify the information: The system displays data such as the product name, approval number, and manufacturer. If this information does not match the label or the query fails, the drug is considered counterfeit.
Attention to anomalies: Repeated QR codes and incorrect associations between case codes and box codes are both indicative of counterfeit drugs.
Key Element Inspection for Packaging and Labeling
Legally approved veterinary drugs must include the following information; any omission or ambiguity raises doubts:
Basic labeling: Veterinary/Prescription Drug Labeling, Generic Name (not a promotional brand name), and Main Ingredients.
Approval Number: The format is “Veterinary Drug No. (Year) XXXXXX,” with a validity period of 5 years; it becomes invalid upon expiration.
Production Information: Company name, address, contact phone number, date of manufacture, batch number, expiration date, withdrawal period.
